The GBN Landscape Design/Build Process

For decades Green Bay Nursery has offered landscape design/build services to those who demand the very best. Landscape design is an interactive process that begins with an in-depth customer interview and site analysis. Listening to our clients and understanding their needs and dreams is one of the most important skills of our Designers. GBN finds it immensely rewarding to know that our clients are in a tailored outdoor environment, one that bears their own signature.

Remember that changes are a normal and important part of this process – and we’ll work closely with you on these refinements until you are comfortable and ready to proceed. The quantities of plants, materials as well as the cost of your project will be clear. That way you will know what to expect during the building process.

Summary Of Our Process

1. Contact us to begin the process!
2. Site Visit: We pay you a visit, listen to your needs and dreams, perform a detailed site analysis, and discuss budget.
3. Creative Development: Your Designer gets back to the drawing board to develop an over all conceptual layout of your outdoor spaces.
4. Design Presentation: You visit our Garden Center to look at plants and materials, review your design and discuss design changes, specific materials, and phases of the project that accommodate your budget.
5. Contract & Scheduling: The review of contract and pricing may be part of the Design Presentation meeting or a separate meeting if there were changes needed to the design. Once you are happy with our proposal we can schedule your project and receive your down payment.
6. Installation Day: Our professional Landscape Production Team begins transforming "your space into your place". At the end of each day we tidy up our work areas to minimize any inconvenience to your day.
7. Project Review: Once completed your Designer reviews your project with you to make sure you are completely satisfied. You will also receive written care instructions for the plants and materials used in your project as well as answers to any questions you may have.
8. Enjoy your new space! We ask that you monitor your new plantings on a weekly basis for the first season, providing water and care as per our instructions. Please contact us with any future questions that come up, we want your investment to grow!
